East Hills Recreation

EHR is a non-profit community organization developed to provide quality recreation through a cooperative effort between Richland Township, Geistown Borough, and the Richland School District and is managed by a nine member commission.

The purpose of East Hills Recreation is to establish and maintain educational and recreational programs for the benefit and enjoyment of residents of all ages and to operate and maintain recreation sites and activities with the best qualified staff.

A variety of year round activities are scheduled that include art and craft classes, physical fitness classes, team sports, and fitness center for the health and well-being of all age groups.

Brochures are mailed four times a year outlining programming. Every effort is made to keep fees low and reasonable. The Richland Township Supervisors provide tax dollars to the EHR budget to administer and maintain these programs and sites. Summer playgrounds and programs, staffed by area young people, are held at Richland Township sites including Arbutus Avenue, Mine 37, Highland Meadows, Luray Avenue, and the Richland Elementary School.

East Hills Recreation is currently working toward the goal of providing a community recreation and senior center to better serve the community. The office and fitness complex is presently located in the For Further information call 266-8470.
